Seeds should be planted indoors 4 to 6 weeks. Prior to transplanting outside. Set plants 15” to 20” apart. Prevent blossom end rot with adequate calcium. Big bushy plants with few peppers can be caused by an excess of nitrogen, hot or cold temperature extremes during the flowering period, or tarnished plant bug injury.

Marconi Reed – Heirloom 80 days 

Prolific Italian heirloom prized for its large sweet red fruits, delicious 8-10” long sweet peppers are excellent eaten fresh or fried. Harvest more off of the plant by giving it proper support. (It is recommended to use a heavy-duty plant support to maximize yields throughout the harvesting period. This will also reduce the risk of rot and insect damage, ensuring healthier plants and a more efficient harvest)
