Description
Sweet Corn – 180 days Seed Count 1/4 lbs package
When planting untreated sweet corn, make sure the soil conditions are ideal for germination since untreated sweet corn seeds break down easily when soil is too cold or wet. Ideal soil temperature is 65 degrees. When planting small amounts, plant several short rows rather than a single row for better pollination. Produce a continuous supply with multiple plantings 2 weeks apart. If planting more than one variety avoids cross-pollinations, or you will have tough starchy kernels.
Golden Bantam – Heirloom 78 days
A standard 5’-6’ stalk that produces slender 6” ears, 8 rows of deep broad golden kernels, high yields of early, excellent flavored sweet corn for the home gardeners that like traditional older varieties.
